Prop, Interiors and Soft Goods Stylist Oliver Cano likes to say that he was born and raised along the Mississippi River, where the differing cultural traditions of the North and South merge. So it makes sense that he is innately curious and observant, open to the world and its diverse beauty. With a background in fine art publishing as well as exhibition design, production and installation, styling for the home and hospitality sectors is a seamless expansion of Oliver's gifts.
Born and raised by artists, his Mexican father was a prolific designer, ceramicist and craftsman, his mother a hunter/gatherer who made everything “beautiful,” inspiring the same qualities in her son. Oliver approaches every project with the discernment of a visual researcher and curator, taking the consumer on a transformational journey from an untouchable, perfect ideal into the creation of an accessible life well-lived. Graceful and contemplative, his work feels so personal it is a call to action for all of us stop, experience, and engage in the subtle gestures he finds that distill a brand’s DNA–the worlds where life takes place.
